Ralph Lusian SRS
Ralph Lusian, a San Diego native, graduated from the University of Alabama after coming to Tuscaloosa as a highly recruited shortstop for Alabama in the mid-80’s. In 1987, Lusian led the team in both stolen bases and triples.
After a successful baseball career, Lusian turned his talent to music, backing legendary bluesman Johnny Shines. Ralph would go on to work with many world renown blues artists (such as Jerry “Boogie” McCain, Little Jimmy Reed, and local icon Willie King) on stage and in studio.
Ralph is active in the Tuscaloosa community, making time to teach music and life skills to local students in the nationally acclaimed Alabama Blues Project since its inception in 1995. ABP has won not only the local Druid City Arts Award, but also the national “Coming Up Taller” award from the President’s Committee on the Arts and Humanities. Lusian also volunteers as a docent for the Westervelt-Warner Museum and is chairman of the hospitality committee for the Tuscaloosa Symphony Guild. More recently, Ralph was elected to the Board of North River Yacht Club.
Lusian earned his real estate license in 2006 and specializes in both residential and commercial real estate.
